Michael Binkley Accepted to C.M. Russell Museum Fundraising Auction
Michael Binkley's sculpture, "White Horse Wave" was accepted to this year's "The Russell" fundraising auction to benefit the C.M. Russell Museum in White Falls, MT, USA. Unfortunately, due to transportation costs and a continued weak economy, Binkley felt the risk of the sculpture not selling outweighed the benefit of exposure to a new audience. Binkley will apply again next year to donate to "The Russell". Check out Binkley's Blog for more on this story.

Michael Binkley Commissioned to Carve Portrait Bust in Chocolate
Michael Binkley was commissioned to carve a portrait bust of a prominent Vancouver businessman. The Douglas Reynolds Gallery asked ChocolaTas Ltd. to procure the bust as the Gallery wanted to present it to one of their key patrons as a combination Christmas/milestone birthday gift. ChocolaTas in turn sourced Binkley to do the work. It took Binkley two days to carve the sculpture from a 20 kg. block of dark Belgian chocolate. The sculpture is the only Binkley in chocolate and stands 12 inches high. Check out Binkley's Blog for more on this story.
