Binkley's studio is a far cry from the euphoric dream of an
sculptor's warm loft, replete with wine, a loaf of bread, and nude models laying
about. Carving stone is hard, dirty work, involving noisy tools in a dusty,
muddy work yard. Even with modern technology and diamond abrasives, stone sculpture
cannot be reproduced over and over like a painter's print series. Each sculpture
must be an individual endeavour, the result of removing solid stone from an
original block.
Michael does not offer sculpting workshops or lessons from his studio.
However, he does offer instruction at various stone sculpting symposiums.
If you are interested in learning how to carve stone, please see Michael's Links page for resources.

This is the beautiful and spacious showroom gallery of the
Binkley Sculpture Studios.
Michael and Michelle Binkley
have created a welcoming, comfortable environment
in which to view and purchase sculpture. They are both warm, friendly and approachable and the space lets customers better imagine works
in an interior setting. A visit to the Gallery affords a unique opportunity to meet the artist, and discuss the art works first hand with their creator. Few other galleries can offer this exciting experience.
